Ingredients
Banyan Trunk Masala Extract
Banyan Trunk Roasted Garlic Extract
½ Cup of Toor Dal
2 tbsp Masoor Dal
2 tbsp Moong Dal
¼ tsp Turmeric
2 Cups of Water
1 Onion
1 Tomato
2 tbsp Ghee
1/2 tbsp Cumin/Jeera
1 Bayleaf/Tej Patta
a pinch of Hing
2 Dried Red Chillies
½ tsp Salt
Coriander(for garnishing)
Preparation
Wash and rinse the dal.
Pressure-cook the Dal along with Turmeric and Hing.
Add some water to adjust the consistency of the dal.
Take the dal off the flame and keep it aside.
In a medium sized pan, heat ghee and oil on a low flame.
Add in more Ghee, Cumin, Bayleaf, Hing, Dried Red Chillies and fry lightly until they begin to splutter.
Add in the Onion and fry till the onions are translucent.
Add in the Tomato and cook well.
Now add the dal that was kept aside and stir continously.
Add a few pinches of salt as per taste.
Add 3-5 drops of Banyan Trunk Masala Extract, and 3-5 drops of Roasted Garlic Extract.
Serve your sizzling hot Dal Tadka with Rice or Tandoori Roti!
